We integrate geotechnical engineering and engineering geology to provide comprehensive landslide characterization, stabilization, and remediation. Our team utilizes field reconnaissance in conjunction with engineering expertise and advanced slope stability analysis software. We apply both limit-equilibrium methods—using tools such as SLOPE/W and EZ-FRISK—and numerical simulations through finite-element modeling with FLAC and related programs. This approach enables us to accurately assess failure kinematics, back-calculate shear strength parameters, and determine factors of safety across various loading conditions.
Slope failures, rockfalls, debris flows, and mass wasting present considerable risks to infrastructure, nearby properties, and public safety, particularly in areas with steep slopes, complex geology, burn zones or fluctuating groundwater conditions. Upon identification of these hazards, we convert our analyses into practical recommendations and monitoring protocols designed to ensure long-term stability and optimal performance. Our engineering solutions encompass the design of buttress fills, keyway excavations, soil nail and tie-back anchor systems, ground anchors, retaining structures, rockfall mitigation using Geobrugg Tecco mesh, as well as drainage enhancements.
